Should I List My House First, or Wait Till I Find One I Want to Buy?

List! If you find your Dream House and want to buy it that week, you will be stuck trying to juggle two houses at once. Also, you may not have the money to put down on a new home that you would have obtained from selling your old home. You might have your Dream House only to watch the dream slip through your fingers.

Also, it is much easier to buy a home than to sell it. You can buy a home in a few days whereas you can wait for months with an unsold property on your hands.

Some sellers may actually be more apt to sell to you if they know that your old house has a bid on it, or at least that it is on the market. So, list your house now and it can be used as leverage later.
